Some times in life things don’t seem to go the way we want. We try as hard as we can and yet sometimes opportunities are denied and disappointments occur. We feel like a currant bush that has been severely and painfully pruned.
The Master Gardener has a plan for us. While it is sometimes hard to see and doesn’t always fall in line with the plans we make for ourselves, trusting in Him and submitting ourselves to His will always bring us greater and more lasting happiness than if we are left to grow wild, as was the currant bush.
Are you submitting to the will of the Master Gardener?

I love the talk by President Hugh B. Brown about the gardner and the currant bush, and the story behind his giving it. He was passed over for a high-ranking military position and felt crushed. But the Lord was mindful of him. He was called as an apostle soon after.
